Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.
My doctor told me that the chronic UTI's can be a result of inflammation. She suggested taking cranberry pills daily, drinking plenty of water, avoiding teas (because of the tannins), and taking my natural anti-inflammatory daily. Also, I found that a "tea" made from warm water, raw honey, and cinnamon also helps me. Best wishes.
I have the body-odor problem too, people remark about it sometimes. It doesn't seem to matter how often I bathe, it just comes right back within a couple of hours...or less.
I read about a doctor who claimed that he could diagnose illnesses based on subtle changes in his patient's body odor. It sounds bizarre, but it did seem to work. He was particularly good at picking up on very early-stage cancer. Of course, since this was unorthodox, he was totally disregarded by the rest of his profession. That's the way things are in the world of Medicine, which is unfortunate.
So maybe this strong body odor is just because we have lupus. It might not be all lupus patients who have this, which is the way things tend to go with such a variable illness.
You are not the only one that suffers from the occasional body odor.
My entire family has to deal with this too. We must take a shower every day or people complain.
So yeah, drink more water and shower. It makes you feel better too.
Just know that you are completely normal lol
but it’s a mystery because it is not listed as a side effect
