This is a group for those who have been on Lupron and it HAS NOT worked. It is also for those of us who have had the adverse side effects or those who stopped taking Lupron due to not being able to deal with the side effects. This is NOT a group for those who like Lupron. Thank you.
Of those of you who had weight gain as a side effect, can you tell me if/how you lost it once stopping the Lupron? I gained 25 lbs in 2.5 months and am nowhere near fitting into my wedding dress. I was exercising, drinking water, and eating less while gaining also. It was so distressing that I lost all motivation for the exercise regimen I was doing nightly. I got to the "it doesn't help so why try" mentality. I have started the points system of weight watchers, but I keep reading this is slower weight loss. I need something NOW. It would really help to hear if anyone had success in losing the weight after stopping the shots. I only had 2 and refused more. Everytime I see how much I weight or think about that gorgeous dress that will now be hideous on me, I just want to cry. I seriously don't want to be fat in my wedding pictures. I was overweight when I graduated high school, and to this day I cannot stand those pictures. I don't want my wedding pictures to be unbearable for me. I had lost 40 lbs 6 months before the endo was found, and I looked good. Dang...tearing up now just thinking about it...

I can DEFINITELY relate to this here....I had taken Lupron for 3 months. I had A LOT of weight gain from it...I as well had just lost 40 lbs prior to my endo occurring....I was 135 lbs prior to taking it and now post Lupron am 175 lbs. I bought my wedding dress last year prior to my Laproscopy surgery and prior to the injections of Lupron.. Today my wedding dress wont fit and I have post poned my wedding date...I have tried exercising dieting, and still to this day have had no luck losing weight.. Amongst that I have had horrible side effects, depression, alternating mood swings, weight gain, weird and abnormal random pains. To this day I have not returned to the same person I was prior to all of this..My current symptoms are a horrible pain in my feet, almost feels like when I walk theres no padding on my feet.. Depression, and a few others.... I know how you feel......:( you are def not alone....

I have taken Lupron for 3 months, as a result I have had weight gain, depression, mood swings, my list goes on.... currently Im suffering with joint and muscle pain and this weight that I cant seem to get rid of no matter what I do.. Im trying to conceive naturally without any drugs, but have had no luck yet... Tried Clomid for one month but the side effects were not pleasant.. How long does it really take for the Lupron to get out of ones system? Maybe it has affected me, in such a way I cant conceive....:(

Bebegirl2000 - I am so sorry you have had the issues also! Unfortunately, weight continues to be an issue for me. However, I have had 2 babies since my original post (October 2010 and August 2012), both without fertility assistance (#2 was actually a "whoops"). So, there is definitely hope there!! I did have trouble conceiving the first child (nearly a year), but I started charting my basal body temp regularly. This showed my ovulation was later than "normal," and this helped conceive her. Fertilityfriend.com is a GREAT resource for learning to chart BBT and interpreting the chart! Good luck to you!!!

I just had my first shot may 20 and in the first few days I already had headaches that were terrible also mood swings irritated just by waking up. I declined June shot and its July 7 and I’ve gained almost 17 pounds. It’s the worst cramping and bleeding ever I can’t sleep hot all the time anxiety is horrible. Headaches are now very little and I’m smiling again. Eating everything is crazy all throughout the night never again will I take this medication.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
