Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...
I have been feeling very suicidal. I am a person that always needs to be stimulated and I thrive off social settings. I have never been the type of person that has had much luck finding and keeping friends. Throughout my whole 20s I've always been looking for "the good time". I never really had the opportunity to let loose. This obsession of seeking fun has really taken it's toll on my relationship. Because I have been so deprived of joy and laughter, I truly have evolved into a sad miserable person. I am completely lost because I don't know what will cure me. All I need is to do things and see people, and just sitting inside watching netflix every night is really putting me deeper into a whole of depression. I've thought about medication but I don't feel that I have a chemical imbalance.... I just want to live life! Even the simple things in life would cheer me up immensely...game nights, a get together now again, ANYTHING! My boyfriend used to be a big partier but now is quite the homebody. I know my depression is pushing him away. If only I knew him when he was a social butterfly, he would see the cheerful person I truely am, instead of this miserable homebody watching tv all night. I do everything I can solo...hikes, bike rides, ect. but that really doesn't satisfy my desire to converse and laugh with people. Everyone always says things will get better after COVID, but my situation has nothing to do with COVID. In fact, I almost fear the world going back to normal because once things open up, I still won't even be able to find people to do things with anyway, and I feel that will make my depression even worse, because I will just be jealous that other people have friends to go to shows and parties and events with.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

Please don't be depressed. When things come back after COVID, get yourself in places and hobbies, a fun class, and meet-ups, things that will make you happy. If you go to something like that, go often b/c that's how people will get to know you, and then you can bond with someone. Being alone really sucks. Make yourself active, be around people and everything will fall into place. I know it's easier said than done, but think about this....one day at a time. You'll be fine. Will say a prayer for you!
You could also talk to a therapist.
I take medication and talk weekly with my therapist.
Make a list of all the things you are looking forward to doing, and some new things you want to try, when the pandemic lets up.
Connect with the friends and family you have now. Through Zoom, Facetime, Skype, texts, phone calls, etc. They may be feeling the exact same way you are.
You are not alone.
