even my AA sponsor is what I would call an acquaintance not friend....he sometimes includes me but mostly I am one of his poor friends and he is very very wealthy....and we do not do much together...I am not even getting the directions I need for step work in AA....I guess I should have someone else but I have sponsor jumped and it sucks....
anyway why I feel lonely is because I do not have a large friend base to rely on and no relationship either which is pretty much my choice because I am not financially ready for relationship with someone....really...I live $ to $ and no savings at 56yrs old...never owned house....nada....
You acknowledge that you have a lot to offer - the fact that you haven't met the right person may not be about you. If it were not for the powerful drives/desires of adolescence, people would probably just text their way through life and never look up.
There are so many people that thrive on getting someone down, and keeping them there. The least you can do is believe in yourself. Low self esteem may be the only thing keeping you from what you want. Women really need men to be confident.
My loneliness - I don't have group. You can be a Kleptomaniac-Transvestite, and somewhere, you have a group. I probably wouldn't like my group, if I had one. Still, I'd like the choice :)
