The loneliness grows worse than before

Since I met Larry and got to know him, not hearing from him is worse loneliness than before.  There are no other men who even respond except the physically needy--for nurses or housekeepers.  I am still praying he is just ignoring me and didn't block me.  That would break my heart for sure. 


This is why I  don't talk about men in my life.  They are so few and so far between.  Then they leave me.  I don't smother them, I don't mother them, I am friendly and nice but get taken for granted.  Then they see someone more slutty and go for them.  I guess I am just untouchable.  That makes me want to die inside.

My heart hurts that you're hurting and that there isnt anything I can do to help but I promise that it's better to wait to find the right person, the person you're supposed to be with rather than ending up with the wrong person. Have faith in that. I'm speaking from experience that life can be worse being with the wrong person than it could simply being alone.

Mary I’m so sorry he’s doing this to you. It’s one reason I have given up trying despite feeling it would be nice to find someone. I was recently sexually harassed by a man who must be nearly 70. It was a shock. My friend who works in a aged care said they don’t get better as they age, they get worse.
The fact is some men are not worth your time. You are worth so much more.

I am so sorry you are having to deal with this. It sounds like you are a believer-have you read Lysa TerKherst's book Uninvited: Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out, and Lonely. You might enjoy it. As for men, I find it's best to give as much effort to the relationship as he is putting in. Because a man who truly values your worth will pursue you. Try to avoid giving your affections to anyone unless you are sure they will be reciprocated. Unrequited affection never leads anywhere except hurting the donor.

I’m no expert. Butttt. I think men like a little bit of a chase. I’m not saying to play games. Just don’t come on strong. Let them Pursue you. Be a little mysterious it’s just whenever I liked someone a lot they lost interest kind of quick and when I lost interest first, they seemed to chase after me. Maybe the old adage. You want ehat you can’t have. Idk
