Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...

"That went too easy" or something like that I said to my landlord, just seconds after my cat to sleep, and me crying like a little girl.
Landlord drove me to vet, was there with me, a librarian gave me a hug day before and that day, vet's secretary listened to me before the place opened up, a couple store cashiers nice, the restaurant owner i have talked to friday and saturday, and probably today, has been nice.
Big difference from after my dad killed himself---and redneck idiot i let drive my car when we were teens gave me the finger. I was able to tell my landlord that, cause this same idiot now renting a garage outside my apartment. The landlord wont repeat what I said---but my mom would have, which is why i kept quiet. All kind of scavengers showed up after my dad died, with one of my back stabbing 'friends" getting a $3,000 loan from her (which was my inheritence she sadistically loaned out?)
In 2006, the sister cat had to be put to sleep----my lousy caseworker, from 2001, just dropped me off at the vet, and went his happy way; that cold hearted event set off a chain reaction of me making depressed mistakes for many years. As bad as i feel now, i felt a lot worse after that lonely trip to the vet.

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

Tomorrow is National Massachusetts Day!Have you ever lived in or visited Massachusetts? If so, tell us what's great about the Bay State!

It's a new year and people are showing you that they like you. Maybe it is time to look on the bright side of things. Your father and mother are gone. Don't let them ruin your life anymore. Live for today. (((hugs)))
sorry you prob should report this as abuse....I am trying but it is not easy...you gotta rebuild and if a foundation is there your the one who has to do the work....
i even thought, thursday?, i let my parents' ghosts keep on ruining my life.
my excuse is that i was brain dead for decades, and all of these finally realizing what was going on events, smashing at me like some space odessey trip or 3-d movie effect.
(able to even post my broken record today, after being too beat down yesterday )
i DO think of same things you telling me to do----my 'stupid brain" as homer simpson tells himself.
NOBODY has ever talked to me in my home town about this stuff, there's even people in my hometown who think i deserve this, as well as people who do such stuff and nobody knows...
(and, even in the winter, i walk around my apt half naked; my actual/no joke sociopathic girlfriend in 1990s convinced me that the cats dont care)
when i was a little kid, i would walk in my sleep, to be found in some closet....who knows what was going on in the drunken, fall apart shack of a house in 1960s i forgot about.
I wish it were that easy. Penn; I am sorry for the things in your past that you did not deserve. Every single living being deserves respect and compassion. I am glad that a few reached out to you and helped you when you needed them.
i'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis; i dont have flashbacks, but living in the same town my whole life, now living just a couple blocks from where i grew up in the 1960s, probably brings back enough triggers for me.
The "wall of mistrust" has to be broken down a bit for me, and it sounds like you too, penn, first. It takes me a bit to trust people. Once I can see that they're either honorable or too weak to hurt me, I let them in.
