Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...

Here I am again in this state. I don't think it was ever an offical relationship but the person I have been seeing, a type of FWB thing, just thinks it's better if we just end it completely cause it will hurt me the most in the end. I'm pretty sure it would have but this loneliness is something that I don't want. The fear caused me to act on my emotions and say everything I can to keep her around just for a little bit longer. We finally said our goodbyes a few hours ago and i'm just feeling a lot of pain and sadness and regret. My mind can't stop running on what else I could have done to prevent this from happening. I just miss having someone there already. I don't want to be alone.

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

The best way to get rid of old memories is to replace them with new ones. Try to focus on the present instead of the past. The present is the only time you can change.
You will find someone else and you will be happier and you will find that deeper emotional relationships can last for an eternity, and are much more spiritually rewarding
God Bless
I hear you say your say your sad because your now alone, not that your sad because this particular person is not with you anymore, or you miss this particular person.
This in itself is a good thing, so don’t get disheartened, it means it can be fixed.
You may just crave to have people around not necessarily a relationship? And if that is the case then this is the time to pick yourself back up and take this opportunity to find like minded people and gain new friendships, and many different friendships. That way should one be busy or away etc then you’ll have others you can go to and spend time with to fill this loneliness you feel.
You could start by looking at what types or hobbies or things you enjoy, and maybe join groups or classes that way you’ll meet people that also enjoy those things.
It won’t be easy, you’ll need to take the first step and put yourself out there and do things you may not really feel like doing right now but in the long run it will help,
And we are always here to listen and help.
I never had a good track record for making friends and keeping them but I know I need to try. I think fear of rejection is keeping me away for now. I’m still not confident enough to just be ok with accepting that not everyone has to like me or like the same things. I know I need to conquer these fears for sure, I’m just having a difficult time with them.
And thank you for that last part. Honestly I came on here writing my feelings away cause i just needed to let them out, i didn’t think anyone was really going to listen but everyone on her is extremely supportive and i just feel like I’m not as alone as I think.
I'm not trying to sound mean or unhelpful at all here. I very much want to help. So, I'm just saying that, in comparison to you, I've basically NEVER had a relationship with a woman yet, and I'm 44! It sucks. Well, it was all right for years, but I've been seriously looking the last 5(?) years and can't find anybody. You know, I am a very patient and accepting person to my problems, but at some point it's just like 'wth!?' Besides a few short relationships or just dates, I've been alone my whole life. When I was younger, I had to learn this hard way of living to be content with being alone, and make myself happy. I mean, it was already there, mostly, but just totally experienced that. I'm not trying to downplay your hurt and boredom at all. I'm just saying at least you had somebody. I know it feels like a double-edged sword right now, though. So, like the woman above said, try to do and notice other things in life. Other relationships besides lovers. Hobbies is a big one. I play guitar and bass and I totally love that and get lost in that every time.
I wish you the all the best!
