my pet died

This was a sad new year's for me as my pet cat of 19 years died three days ago. She passed peacefully so I'm thankful for that. I did the best I could do to give her a good life and I think i accomplished that. I feel really sad but some peace about it because I loved her so much. Hope others had a cheerier new year. Suzi

So sorry about your cat. I have had mine 4 years. I had a 20 year gap between pets and regret it. I hope you find it in you to get a new pet knowing you are honoring your cat's memory but having loved her so much you want to experience that joy again. Best wishes.

I'm so sorry to hear that. 19 is a really old age for a pet, so she had a long and good life. I'm sure she is forever grateful for the love and good home you gave her.

my bag of bones cat is 20, and about the only thing keeping him alive is me being a 24 hour nurse to him.

I'm hoping my kitty kat goes in his sleep, instead of a last trip to a vet.

you definitely gave your cat a GREAT LIFE, for her to live to be 19.

I lost a fourteen year old kitty last April. Damn near killed me too.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat Suzi. I hope you are doing well though. Pets bring something to our lives that other humans can never offer us. They give us unconditional love and affection.
Your cat was lucky to live a very long and happy life. My kitty is 11 and she is my baby, and I know I am going to be a wreck when her time comes. I hope you are doing well and I will pray for you.

I'm so sorry about your cat. That's a tough way to start out the new year. But I just want to echo what penntucky said -- for your kitty to live to be 19, you must have taken great care of her and she must have had a really good life.

so sorry!!!!!!! i feel for you big time. losing a pet is like losing a family member. and they can be so loyal too. it's good that you are proud you gave her a good life - and a long one at that. that helps. hang in there!

Sorry to hear this. My cat is my companion so I know how you must feel. I lost 3 cats in 5 years - they were all run over, and in the end I decided to get a house cat because I didn't want to keep going through the upset.
You had many happy years with your cat and this will in time help you heal from the loss.
