Lonely with nothing to do on the 4th

Normally I enjoy the 4th, but I am so lonely and down this year. I have nothing to do and no one to spend time with on this day. My mom is the only person I have and she just stays in bed depressed now. I think the most depressing part will be when the fireworks go off tonight and I'm just sitting in the house missing out because I have nobody to watch them with me.

Anyone else lonely today?

You're not alone. I always spend holidays alone. I'm usually always alone. It gets frustrating. It's bad enough I'm afraid of men and try to keep distance from them but it's so difficult when you want to just... Hang. You know ?.

we understand where your coming from...sometimes I used to go watch the fireworks by myself just to be able to get out and enjoy the fun atmosphere of the fireworks....they have a carnival where our home town is (where mom still lives) and I rarely go there now because it is just crowds of kids and people milling around...but they shoot fireworks and that part of it I used to watch even by myself...sometimes my parents would go...but dad died in 09 and mom is too crippled with her back pain to go now she said she was watching them on tv when I called her tonight....

I had an amazingly nice evening with AA people almost 90miles from my home....round trip on car when I got home was 175.7miles....I took KFC chicken for the pot luck...$28 almost but I got 16 breast pieces from them....woot woot...there was so much food they were sending some home with people...I brought home some freshly made pork rinds that a guy makes himself...they are vinegar flavored ones...yum...I got a big bag of them...it will take time of course to eat them but they are yummie...

You have given me an idea.

I almost went to our local fireworks this year. Was going to take my camera this time. But was kinda tired and had a cold.

Next year I hope I can go and carry some goodies with me. Food used to be carried along, at the Be-In's in the '60s in California. Home-baked cookies and so on. Ppl would trade.
/ Next time I go to a fireworks I'll have finger food along to give

yeah, it's depressing. i had someone to watch fireworks with, so i was happy about that. but thats pretty much it. most my holidays are by myself.
