Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. I have also learned that many friends are only in our lives for certain periods. It is almost like they are there for the time that God wants them to be. They have a purpose in our lives and we have a purpose in their lives. It is the same in any relationship. The person is there for us to learn from and hopefully they learn from us.
Not sure its gods plan that ive not had friends since then?
Yes i wonder at how i never managed to keep friends, my partner has kept his friend since childhood.
If i'm honest its probably a lot to do with the fact that i'm a very un-trusting person. When your parents let you down, the very pple your supposed to trust the most, its no wonder you learn not to trust.
I wonder if you give off a vibe like i do? I want friends but then i back off and get scared.
I'm sure pple pick up on this.
I hope you work it out : )
is just not my cup of tea. I prefer to be with someone I can talk to for hours about any subject. Such people are out there but harder to find. If you have a hobby or something of particular interest for you, use it as a catalyst to meet others with similar interests. This is how I met my friend Jon over 25 years ago. We worked together in the same department. Ironically though we did not tolerate each other at all. I was into motorcycling at that time and someone told me Jon had recently bought a bike and was asking if any biker would go with him when he applied for his
motorcycle endorsement. I had nothing to do that day so I told him I would meet later on my bike and ride with him to dmv. After a bit of cruising around that day we started talking and we have been the best of friends ever since. The motorcycles brought us together. The conversations cemented the friendship. For me it is always like this. I am one that makes the first move. So you may have to be the one that makes the first move and let someone else open up to you first. Be the friend you want someone else to be with you. I wish you the best of luck.
Insight into yourself first. Never, never, never compare yourself to others because you will always feel you lack something. Take stock in what you have, be grateful for those that truly love you. Everyone on social media can perceive their life to be as they wish. You are being real that you don't have that many friends, guess what?? You are normal. The average person has approximately 5 or less friends. That's it. The rest are acquaintances. If I look at Suzy's house and it's bigger than mine, I will feel I am lacking. Never look beyond you when you are counting blessings. Don't count my blessings because it could be a curse. Count only yours.
