It is weird how the weather starts changing. It's so fascinating.
Today is Pantry and we are leaving shortly, so this is short.
My son in Georgia that had his car totaled is doing fine except to find a car where he lives in a tiny town and no rides. Since I'm paying there is a financial limit on the cost.
Sandra, any plans for the week? Also, there was a question I had about soups and stews, what is popular in your area or just for you and Doug?
Carly, how is the ranch going with people looking? Any potential buyers? Same with you on soups and stews.
Leo, do you make soups and stews? I'm looking forward to fall and winter to add to my list.

I just applied for a job that is closer to home and more aligned with my college degree and work experience. It's part-time, but the pay is way better, and I hope to get it.
Temperature here is roughly the same. It's so mild for this time of year, I know when the temperature really drops we are going to notice it.
I have no idea what is popular here for soup, I'm thinking tomato is one that people would buy most.
I love chicken soup. We actually had that today for our teatime meal. I put leaks onions broccoli carrots and baby mushrooms in it.
I made enough that we can have it tomorrow too so I don't have to cook tomorrow.
I have to say I don't like winter but I love winter food, soups, stews and roasts along with hot puddings and desserts for after.

Carly October and you have 98 f heat , that sounds so weird to me. We would never get that in October here in England.
Does your weather people talk about el nino? It's like we are expecting some really bad weather and we should expect to be trapped in our homes for days on end.
Anyway I bought a power bank for my mobile today and I've started stock piling food. I've also been looking at camp equipment for cooking.
I put a load of seeds in the back garden today which I got from some flowers from the front garden. They are orange and last quite long but I have no idea what they are called. I'll have to Google lens them to find out.
83F here and the sun is down. It will be hot again tomorrow in the afternoon. Predicting low 90's.
Joanne, I hope your son can find a good reliable car for a decent price.
One of the reason's that Mike left for the ranch early was because the ranch is being shown on Wednesday. He needs to mow and also tidy up a bit. I wanted to remind him that it is probably very dusty and could use a vacuuming. But I did not because I hope he knows better. All I said was that if you remember when you are showing a house never leave the toilet lid up.
I love soups and stews. I think my favorite leftover dish was after cooking a roast was to have the leftover's turned into a stew. My favorite is a pork roast cut up and add potatoes and carrots. There is usually enough gravy left over to add.
Mike has always loved a vegetable soup. His Mom made the best.
Sandra, I know that your time is ahead of us. But you do know that we are still in September? :-) But I do feel that even when we get to October we will still be in the 80's to 90's.
We don't hear so much about the El Nino because at this time of year all we hear about are Hurricane's. I had no idea y'all had that. I thought it was a very west coast thing in the US. When does it usually happen there? Do your stores limit your purchases as they do here?
