Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...
I'm a lonely person. It is sad to say that, but I am. I don't feel like people see that much value in me. I can't talk to my crushes or even friends without acting fake because I'm so afraid of what people think. Everything is just rough. I'm hoping that saying something can help me find a sense of connection and belonging. I act like I'm old and have stuff figured out but I actually feel like a scared little girl. I too hope to find authentic connection in myself and others. Thanks for reading.

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

I've started to notice
so many people feel lonely inside. ..
I don't sleep very well as I get insomnia
& nights have become worse because everyone asleep
& I feel like a ghost pottering around in the silence for the night .
its a crazy world
we have technology phones etc
but yet over the generations
there seems to be far less connection
than the days that we didn't even have house phone
I wish I could give you an answer
in how to solve loneliness
but there is a breakdown of connection happening throughout..

I'm a lonely person.
you're in the right group!
It is sad to say that, but I am.
We know.
I don't feel like people see that much value in me.
People think of themselves mostly and wonder if people think well of them.
You must know your own worth or begin to discover it. Then it doesn't matter what anyone thinks or says, you know you are full of value and worth!
I can't talk to my crushes or even friends without acting fake because I'm so afraid of what people think.
tsk, tsk, such low self-esteem. Who cares what people think! Say it! Don't be a fake; just be prudent, cautious in social interaction just like you're in a Jane Austen novel : )
Everything is just rough.
It always will be.
I'm hoping that saying something can help me find a sense of connection and belonging.
It will help but only to a degree.
I act like I'm old and have stuff figured out but I actually feel like a scared little girl.
'Everybody you meet is afraid of something, loves something and has lost something.'
I too hope to find authentic connection in myself and others.
Take some time, when you are able, to get to know yourself in silence and in solitude. Just be still, and listen. You will not regret this, and it is never a waste of time. You will become a stronger, more confident person that people will find themselves admiring.
Thanks for reading.
Thanks for having written it and giving me an opportunity to wax lyrical ; )
