Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...
To me, it's having a Bestie, and only one Bestie. Someone like you said, you can talk about anything to.
then there's people who have several friends. I was never like that, I always liked just having one, but I guess it's healthier to have more than one, like, what if your best friend moves far away, or you break up? It happened to me, now I got stuck with no one. Lonlier than ever!
It's those moments when you want to share conversation, a problem or a joke. You realise no one is there. This is the nature of devoting yourself to that one person. There is a huge void.
It's great that you've recovered from your break up, a year is not that long for recovery.
You're right about it getting harder to build relationships as an adult. I've found as I get older it's harder still. Not many new people have come into my life in recent years due to my static situation. Most friends I've had were through work or my son's school group. I would advise meeting new connections but not trying too hard. Perhaps through work or an interest you can meet new friends. Reach out, make some connections with the hope something deeper develops. But I know it's easier said than done.
Maybe try Meetups to meet new people. It will take time to find that connect. I get lonely to so I understand.
Just a support group or a church..they hold meetings to talk. I think you can share here too.
Remember, you had the connection once. Once you meet the right person, you'll have it again.
Organised groups are hotbeds of intrigue and bullying I found.
I hope you have better luck.
Groups are tricky because if they are talking about other people, they may be
talking about you behind your back.
At the very least, I find DS helpful.
You are not alone.
