The best antidepressant is when my wishes are honored. An example, the faucet in my apartment was running although the knobs were turned shut all the way, and one of the pulling strings on my ceiling fan came off. As soon as I notified my maintenance man, he was quick to reply with the work order. RAPID response... he's getting my services around my apartment done. I appreciate my landlord and...

Hello,so I'm currently in a weird relationship with my long distance ex who I've never met in person and it's taking a toll on me. I've lost 15 pounds and lost my appetite, but I'm really attached to him. We've had a lot of problems and I think that has caused me to gain severe anxiety. I don't know if I should wait until it gets better or what. Everytime I've blocked him, it has tend to make me...

Hopefully this site can help ease the loneliness
and perhaps finding social events within your own community?
and something that has really helped me cope if coloring, because you dont think about anything but what color you will use and I suggest listening to some upbeat music and get lost in it.

I am finding that keeping busy helps keep your mind off of the loneliness. Like Sissyo..., I do also ride my bike a lot. I just rode to the beach for the first time today (5 miles). Watching the waves coming in was somehow relaxing. I also do a lot in my yard and projects on my house in the evenings after work. Then I am so tired at bedtime that I fall asleep instantly, no time to lay there drying about my loneliness.
also how about a church, taking a class of some kind, getting a pet (if a dog then walk your dog in a park) - the more you do the same thing the better the chance of meeting people and feeling more comfortable doing so as well as meeting the kind of people you can connect with better too.
meetup.com is something always suggested as a good place to start. You should find some groups for activities in your area that you are interested in
Sit in the garden and smile at the beauty of nature, then go for a walk to admire it
It is difficult, but we are always here to talk
I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks too. Regular workouts at the gym greatly help ease the symptoms. Also, I try to stay so busy during the day, that at night I am so exhausted that I generally fall right to sleep...which is a blessing otherwise my mind "races" and I'm up all night.
try to focus on what you enjoy and go do it..even if my yourself. Go to the movie you have always wanted to see...go to the new restaurant that just opened, attend a concert of an artist you enjoy, etc. Do things to make you happy..
Please feel free to contact me if you ever need someone to talk to...
