Mel, when I was hospitalized for two weeks in a psych ward, a friend came to visit with a present. The present was a book that she relied on herself. Her copy was dog-earred from so much use. The book is called "The Language of Letting Go" by Melodie Beatty. It has daily affirmations/stories in it. Like my friend said, you don't have to go by the actual date for the affirmations. Whatever page you open the book too seems applicable for that day. I think you can find it on eBay or probably Amazon. I highly recommend it.
