wow. Sounds like youve just had bad luck. Those dont sound like the kind of women youd wanna be involved with anyway. The economys tough right now. So i cant say im surprised youre finding some gold diggers. All you can do is put yourself out there and keep trying. You should feel sorry for those women. They place so much value in how much money a guy has and not whats in his heart. All the material things in the world wont make up for real commited unconditional love.

There are some men who limit themselves to whatever their standard is for a "beautiful" woman and there are some women who limit themselves to men of a certain financial status. Shallow attracts shallow, so I think for both men and women, if you are meeting people and socializing, but finding those you are interested in are not interested in you, you may want to do some soul searching and see if you need to do some inner work and open your mind to seeing the whole person and consider their character, not just their face/body/hair/age or bank account/career, what kind of a car they drive, etc.

When I was dating and socializing more often, I definitely went out with a few people that my initial reaction was not being swept off my feet, but the person turned out to be great and we had a good time, often there was more attraction as the evening went on and I got to know them, especially if they make me laugh and are easy to talk to! And yes, there were some that I was glad to have the evening end. But you're never going to know unless you keep an open mind and take a chance!

How can you be so certain that women are "ignoring you" because you are poor? Is it the first thing you bring up in casual conversation (your lack of money) or could there be something else at play?

WELL u get to talk to all kinds of people..i think it is like the fingers of your hand...not all are the same..i am sure you will find someone decent who isn't talking to you for your money..keep looking ...

@Animal46...I think u are mistaken on one part; Beautiful women don't necessarily seek men with money. It's the men who try to use their money to get "the finest of the finest" looking girl. And co-incidentally, his money gets him what he wants MOST of the time, not all of the time. Don't forget true love can never be bought. Money can only buy you 'company' & that's ONLY if your money doesn't run out.

What u are right about is that a gorgeous looking guy may not have any assets or not much going on for him but there are many women out there who are willing to accept him as he is ONLY because women outnumber men; giving us not much options to choose from. So, many women just settle for less. And in this scenario, the woman usually has the money & takes care of her guy.

I think what people r looking for in someone is someone who does not seem to want to take from them and someone who can take care of themselves. If a person feels that a person is going to take from them it can make a person feel uncomfortable. If u r poor and like able and don't want to take anything and your intention is that u just want a friend then I believe that person can be with anyone. Who wants to be with a gold digger or someone who takes from your emotions. Yes there r people who r gold diggers and women who only want to be with people like that and there r men who only want pretty woman but the true friend is someone who wants nothing but to be your friend. It is all in what we want and what we r looking for. Stay away from what u don't want and find people u do want. Birs of a feather stay and flock together. Stay with your own kind. It is what your soul wants.

I agree it is hard to find a true friend. It is ashame that many people can be selfish and greedy in this world.

To me its what is in the person's heart and soul. There are so many ppl in the world that set there stands so high, they might never find a mate. When I was single, if a guy ask me what color of underwear I had one, I would not talk to him again, cause it was clear what he wanted. LOL I saw a movie where the guy was rich, but played as tho he was a normal joe, meet this girl, they dated and feel in love, when she found out his true idently, she left, cause she didn't like liars.. enough said........

Stay off the dating sites. So many people on there are so superficial and fluffy, with such high standards of looks and money to support their movie-star fantasies, that they'll NEVER find a mate.

Talk with women IN PERSON. At the supermarket. At a park or someplace walking their dog. Just try to bury that bitterness and try to say something funny. It's not money; it's about how fun you are, and she is, as human beings, being able to HAVE FUN without a dime (well, maybe a couple bucks, for some refreshing drinks lol)..

If you go into natural settings, you'll indeed meet women who can have a good time with NO money, and are just enjoying nature, the warm sun, the cool breeze.

There is something to be said for being at least financially solvent and not in financial hardship or suffering.

As long as you can pay your bills on time, you're golden. Try to bring up other fun conversation topics besides money, like sports or movies or other entertainment, whatever you're into. If SHE brings up money, try to change the subject, to something YOU want to talk about. If she persists with money on the brain, move on.

Please don't speak for all women in that regard. Money is nice but it doesn't make a relationship. What makes a relationship is honesty, great communication, enjoying ones company, spending time together doing things you both enjoy. Teaching each other new things, and always having trust. I guess before you get hurt, let them know right off the bat that you aren't rolling in the dough. That will either end it right then and there, or you will find someone that really doesn't care about the money. Hugs GB
