has there been any change at all in the 7 months since you started dating?in any relationship there has to be progress, wether it be small or little. if you are serious about her then you should sit down with her and tell her how you feel. discuss where you want this relationship to go the ultimate end goal. like full time commited, or married or living together. whatever you both want. and then break that down into smaller goals you can achieve until you reach the bigger goal.

I think a big heart-to-heart is in order...your feelings are valid and your expectations are not unusual or unreasonable. I'd feel the same way as you, and I'd make that clear to your partner. Honestly, ask yourself and her what has to happen for things to get any better. If she doesn't have a clear concept about the changes that need to happen for an authentic, deception-free relationship...well maybe it's time for a re-evaluation. We have had many talks. Like all relationships we started hot and heavy marriage and babies then let me see kid on her weekends. Then she snapped and said it was too much she feels guilty less one one time with kid. Thinks wife will make divorce drag out get abusive. I wear heart on sleeve so she knows I'm down feeling left out. But I get it I went through years solo cause didnt want share kid time but I think brings back alot for me and very depressed she say it will change but it won't be near future. I'm old want to settle down have lived solo for 14 yrs.

I know what you mean by wearing your heart on your sleeve. One of the things that I haven't done in years is to TAKE CARE OF MYSELF! I am going to give you the same advice and YES it is easier said than done. If she is confused or there is a lot of stress surrounding the divorce this could be the reason she is having such a difficult time.

Please understand, I know that seven months is quite a bit of time for someone like you and I so your heart is already invested. Let her know that you are not trying to pressure her but you also cannot live on future promises. She needs to decide what she wants and if it's you than she is going to have to step up. If her ex is abusive I would think that she would be concentrating on protecting herself and her daughter from the abusive ex!!!

Thank you for your advice. Her wife is very controlling and imma softee. She just informed me wife putting in agreement anyone with her needs have background check before living together. I just laughed cause I work for government so I have been checked but think this is nuts

Depends on what you want in a relationship but it sounds like things are not working out as is. You may want to allow it another month, three months, etc. And if things haven't changed by then (or at least getting on track) it may be time to move on.
