So early June my boss hired my (2nd cousin? or something) to work in the shop. We are dog groomers. Well at first it was fine, we all got along great and worked together. Well the past few weeks there have been some issues.
The first issue was I was taking her home from work EVERY day. She would say her mom is going to pick her up, and when work was over her mom "wasn't texting back". So I would take her home. She lives about 20 minutes from where I do, so it was a bit of a hassle and I complained to my mom about her mom constantly backing out on her and sticking me with it. Well it turns out she has a bus pass, and her mom said she would pick her up in emergency's or on days she wasn't busy. There was really no reason for me to be doing it. Well her mom told her I was pissed off at her because she took away time from me and my husband and I don't want to get mooched off of. I never said a word like that. So she got mad at me thinking I was saying all of this. We got that issue resolved. This week she sent my boss and I a group message on Facebook asking if she could take the money out of the register because she'd lost all her money at the bar last night. My boss was at church so she didn't respond. 20 minutes later my co-worker sent another message saying she went ahead and took it anyway and she can just take it out of her paycheck. Well my mom also saw the message. I own an animal shelter and my mom helps me, so she sees all of my messages. Well again, it got back to her mom. Yesterday she came in the shop (boss was at the hospital with her husband) and she freaked out on me for telling her mom that she was a thief and that she is getting fired. I didn't say that! I never even talked to her mom! And how would I know if she was getting fired or not?? I know my mom talks to her moms sister (her mom) so that's how it's getting around. But seriously, do not come into our WORKPLACE and start your bullshit drama.
Anyway, that was done and over with I just blew it off.
Well today my boss sits us down for a shop meeting because the other girl complained about me..
So my boss told us to talk it out.
Coworker starts off with, "I don't feel comfortable with Holly touching my book." (her book is what keeps track of her tips/dogs she grooms)
She said I touch it and then don't know what I did to it so it gets all messed up.
BULLSHIT. I touched it ONCE and it was yesterday, I was taking my tips from the drawer so I asked her if she wanted me to take her tips too and she said yes please. So I did, and I crossed of a $20, a $7.50, and a $2.50. I handed her the cash and she ran over to her book and asked what I crossed off. So I told her and she said "What $7.50?" so I said "I think it was this one." And she freaked out because I said "I think". Well either way, no matter what $7.50 I crossed off, it's still the same amount of money. So no harm done.
I was completely quiet at this point trying to comprehend what she was talking about and figuring out of she was dead seriously trying to blame me for stealing.
Then she said to my boss "When you leave early, I'm left to groom all of the dogs and Holly watches youtube and makes dog bows. I just feel stressed because I'm trying to get the important job done while she does whatever she wants"
At this point I am shaking, I cant believe she is lying like this.
I watched ONE youtube video on how to make dog bows, It was 3 minutes long. And when all of my dogs are groomed, I will sit down and make dog bows so I don't have to make them in between dogs the next day. So yes, I do make dog bows. When I am done with my dogs. But she is making it sound like I'm doing nothing!!!
And here's where she starts crying hysterically.
She then says "And I'm so tired of all of the family drama and them being told things that aren't true. There's no point for it, I don't want the drama"
OH.MY.GOD.
I bit my lip so hard.
My boss turns to me and asks how I feel about everything, so I simply say "My tooth hurts." (as they know I have an infected wisdom tooth) and I turn around and continue grooming my dog.
If I would have said anything else, I would have lost my job for absolutely losing my shit on her.
So my boss goes on with the shop meeting, she says we need to make sure the shop is cleaned every night before we leave. FUNNY. My coworker will literally drop everything on her table and run out the door when her ride shows up. Her table will be covered in hair, scissors, brushes, and blades when she leaves. I am not responsible for cleaning her area, she would get her ass fired so fast if I didn't do it anyway. I'm so frustrated right now. Yet, I still feel jealous. Because my boss is feeling sorry for her and actually letting her say those things about me. My boss and I were super close before she started, I feel like she is trying to sabotage my job. I just don't know. I want to crawl in bed and cry all day!
