Jealousy Support Group
Jealousy typically refers to the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that occur when a person believes a valued relationship is being threatened by a rival. This rival may or may not know that he or she is perceived as a threat. If you or a loved one may have an issue with jealousy, this community is a good place to start exploring the issue and get support. We're here for...

I was looking for being able to find a psonsor and be a sponsor to somebody on this forum.
So to have one person one could reach out to once a week and give and update of whats going on, the progress being made.
A maximum of a 15 minute call from teh Sponsee or the person ebing sponsored. A place to share whats on ones mind and release some burden gets some support and ncouragement.
I cannot afford therapy right now and also found inspiration fromw hat I heard about AA groups.
It might be nice to have a support specifically in this area.
I am willing to be a sponsor too.
If phones are difficult, then sponsoring my email once-aweek where one can update one's progress and have someone to listen or give encouragement might help.
Anybody take up on that?
I also suggest using the 12 steps from the workbook for this
http://www.12stepworkbook.org/workbooks/jealousy
Maybe the sponsosr sponsee can help get through the 12 steps...and have some discipline that the work is followed through...
thats a suggestion.
How can I post teh 12 steps from the workbook as a group? I think it might benefit strating a group based on teh s12 steps for everyone to work through to heal from jealousy.
thanks

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. Just copy and paste your 12 steps, you can paste one page at time or all at once, over a day or over weeks. (ive not read it so your the best judge on what would be right)
New pple tend not to find groups or go there that often, you might want to post it here where it will be found easier.
I think that's a nice idea and i hope you get something set up like that, a kind of befriending service?
I was thinking about it on my bus journey and how it would work etc.
Not sure whether its for me yet, the thing is ive made a couple of friends from here that i write to and can vent to, they vent to me, so ive got that going on already.
I would never feel comfortable giving my phone number to pple i didn't know, plus i couldn't afford calls to America!
E mail yes, possibly.
Something else you might want to consider, matching pple in similar situations and ages.
Don't know whether you've noticed but it tends to be mainly young girls getting jealous with boyfriends rather than middle aged women in stable relationships like myself!
