Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.
I've had IBS for years, but, recently suffering from constipation, I used to be able to manage it with food, but what keeps happening to me Is I find something that works for a while and then it stops working. Thats seems to be what has happened with the Senna that I have
been taking, Help needed!

I have the exact same problem. I have to rotate the supplements / laxatives I take for it. One night some slippery elm, the next night milk of magnesia, and the following night a couple sips of magnesium citrate. Until I know what else to do, this what I've been doing. Btw, my GI specialist told me to NOT take Senna, because it actually builds your IBS flare. It only works if you take it once in a blue moon, but not designed for chronic constipation. I hope this helps.

Have you tried Linzess? I have tried all the constipation remedies out there and the one that has helped me the most is this drug.
