Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.

But I have IBS-C and even though I drink lots of water and prune juice and have soft stools, it is hard to pass stools myself. I wish I had a solution for you. I've been struggling with this problem for yrs.
If you don't drink a lot of water I would at least start there. I also read that taking a magnesium citrate supplement after dinner can help with "movement" too.
For me, I have taken mag cit and it was very helpful in the beginning... but like all things I try, it stopped working after a while. This is my curse with all supplements, diets, and medications I've tried. They work for a while, then stop. If you find the answer, please share it here! Thanks
I too have soft stool; consistency changed after a stressful period in my life and has stayed that way.
I have a very hard time too. This squatty potty helps on and off. I got mine at Walmart for around 25 dollars.
But u have to be extra careful to regulate your intake.
