Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.
Just wanted to spread the word about this. Not everyone knows this. I understand the test is sent to a lab in CA, and I believe it is the only labe in the US that does this. Not all insurance plans cover this though. Some people are misdiagnosed with IBS, so it's so important everyone knows that if a doctor diagnoses you with it, and you have other problems, or just lower abdominal pain....it might not be IBS.

hope u don't have IBS...if you do.....hope u found ways to cope.
IBS is an umberella term for many things that go wrong with the digestive system, which the doctors cant figure out. Due to a sore lack of research in that area.
The only thing I can imagine is this test rules IBS out rather than in, by finding something more serious like Chrone's etc
