Ironically you described the night I had last night. I'm 6 months off of Ambien and won't use no matter what, but I do use Valerian, Melatonin, and last night 5mg Flexoril. Nothing worked. I dozed off at 5am something and the alarm went off at 6:20 -- for work. If I take a nap today that will screw me up tonight.

I see my sleep doc for the first time this Friday. If he orders a sleep study for me, its going to be an epic FAIL! When do I sleep? Uhm, between the hours of 11am and 3pm. Yes, this is after trying to fall asleep for 8+ hours. Don't ask me why, but my body has settled upon this time frame for when it likes to sleep.
