Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
Your wife is gaslighting you-trying to make you believe the evidence you see is not evidence at all. Trust your gut. You are accurate-she is cheating. To what extent is the only unknown.
My husband always said if I cheated he would leave. And he did. For forty minutes. Then my son called him, my husband came back, and we began our healing journey. There ARE resources available to help you through this. We were advised not to make a decision about the marriage right away but instead, to work on our INDIVIDUAL healing. That would heal the marriage or not but working on ourselves was the important thing. I could go on but I just want to tell you that 1. you are NOT crazy, 2. Be open to changing therapists if needed. 3. Don't make a decision about the marriage yet.
Hiding her technology, deleting texts, staying out late at bars with other men, receiving communication from other men, buying and bringing lingerie on her trips, refusing to change her behavior are all very strong red flags in my mind.
I'm sorry you're going through that. The reality is YOU may never know what your wife was/is doing with absolute certainty. However, you know exactly how she treats you at home. You have the power to change your life and your situation. The things that hold us back from asserting ourselves and changing are often fear, obligation, guilt. You will survive and life will go on one way or another. I know, though, that STDs can kill you. Don't let your unwillingness to face the harsh truth take your life.
I'm glad to see in your last post that you are working on yourself and your own healing. My prayers and thoughts are with you, friend.
Much love,
Dan.
