Or, Wojo, could it be that your W is telling you these things on her own volition? Maybe your W is having these thoughts and is pinning in on her therapist. Just a thought that came to my mind.
Do you know her therapist and can you ask her (the therapist) if she DID suggest that course of action for your W?
Sorry for you having to deal with that. That would really, really piss me off if someone was advising my W in that manner. Who the F*** are they?
Oh, and just fyi, counselors and psychiatrists have some of the worst reputations for divorces and suicides.

I can't imagine a licensed therapist providing that kind of advice unless either your wife is telling that therapist something other than the truth or, like Rule said, these opinions are solely your wife's opinions and she is simply pinning them on the therapist so that they have some sort of credibility in your mind.
And of course, she doesn't want to fire the therapist because, it is likely, if the therapist is, in fact, telling her these things, she likely agrees with the advice.
I'm not sure which is worse: If the advice were legitimately from the therapist or if your wife had these opinions are was simply scapegoating the therapist.
If ever there was a time to demand something of your W, it's now. Your W HAS to stop seeing her, else there really will be no hope for the two of you. If your W loves you more than this quack of a therapist, then she'll agree. That is, IF your W wants to reconcile with you. If not, then this all might be your W's doing. That possiblity does exist and maybe she's not wanting it to work out. I hope that's not the case.

When my h and i had sessions alone he would not tell me anything my h said in his session or the other way arround.
I think she need to find a new therapist either way.
