Infidelity Support Group
Any relationship in which one partner engages willfully in sexual relations with another outside of the partnership is considered to have experienced infidelity. This breach of trust is often traumatizing for the faithful partner as well as the relationship, and support is often needed to heal emotionally and to decide whether or not the relationship should continue after...
As you said you have no control over what he chooses to do - to some extent.
The new secretary should not of been hired and if there is anyway to move her to another department then I would ask him to do that. He is remorseful then he should consider your feeling and hyper sensitivity towards other women that he is in contact with on a regular basis. Would a recovering alcoholic work as a bartender? Not a wise thing to have temptations so close at hand.
It has only been five months and you both need to understand that recovering from such devastation takes a long time and lots of work from both people involved.
Another thing - what is to stop you from going to the rodeo? You can check up on him or trust him and stay away. However trust is hard at this point and may never be fully recovered.
there are possibilities that with therapy these things can be worked out, but it takes work.
And it has only been 5 months and i understand why you do not trust him, maybe you can go hang out there with him for a bit. are you or you and your spouse in any sort of therapy? if not, and you want to work it out and he does too, it is an option. but your feelings are understandable. trust has been broken and its possible to fix, but not for everyone.
Not everyone is created the same and their reactions to this will be different from person to person. So until you and he figure out if you can be together or you figure it out, with help or not, do the best that you can.
is he addicted to sex? because comparing this to an addiction when it may not be does not make sense to me. If he does have a problem with sex addiction, then obviously the comparison is valid, just my opinion, you are not weak, you just have some stuff for work out for yourself and with your husband. ur feelings are understandable. Men and women react differently to a cheating spouse, and on top of that each individual does as well and its only been 5 months. best of luck to you.
longhaul,
no he is not a Sex addict, and yes what he did was awful, dont think for one minute I dont get how disrespectful and god knows what else it was, it makes me sick just thinking about it and as for me staying with him...I love him and I am willing to try and work things out...are we going to make it ? I dont know, time will tell.
I definitely feel he needs to get rid of the 25 year old secretary. That was ridiculous for him to do that to you right now. He knows better than that!
Nooreen and the others are right. At first, I did a little snooping but afte awhile, yu cannot live like that!
He IS responsible for making certain that u dont suffer needlessly though. so tell him, you do not want him to go this year, if it is not too late to back out or go with him.
You all help me so much, thank you for listening and answering my questions ; )
I think I might just do that...
You made me smile thinking of it that way...Thanks ;)
(and I was having a bad night cause I ran into the ow at the store)
