Therapists are trained professionals and can help you.
Psychics are mostly frauds. The largest network in the country is in my city. An old friend ran it. They hire drug addicts, people with criminal records, people who can't get a "real job", people with psychological problems. Their "psychic" training consists of learning how to keep callers on the phone. They use scripts on asking "open ended questions" to get you talking and burn the minutes.
On a side note, when I found out how much my h spent for his sluts, I told him he better not ever mention anything about what I spend. Ever.

Clearly you need to deal with it in a more cost effective way and it seems you know that yourself - but you can come on here for support. For direction? Are you religious? That can really help. Read the book of Wisdom for direction and instruction on how to act and what is and is not important when you start to feeling a little foggy.
but i could seriously see how someone could get stuck in that position. you see them on tv all the time, you have your world flipped completely inside out ,you want advise you want to know what the future holds, and even if you are someone that doesnt believe in all the hocus pocus stuff, you take that risk because you can always hope you will get away from that call with some answers. i get it.and it is probably easier to talk to someone you dont know and cant see as compared to family and friends who may or may not know about it,or you may feel you dont want to keep dumping your drama on them or being debbie downer all the time.
good luck with the cold turkey, and remember we are here for you:)
I will agree with what has been said: Counseling helped me more than any psychics - and it was hecka cheaper in the end, too.
I do still consult my tarot cards. (My addiction goes pretty deep. Heh.) But at least I only spent $40 on those! I like that idea or as fiberjunkie mentioned, some rune stones. Even better are cards that I own which have beautiful Goddess pictures with words on them like, "Journey" and "Motivation" and such - I use them as writing prompts, sometimes, but sometimes they help me when I feel like I need guidance from an outside source. (Much the same way as one who flips open a Bible and feels that the passage they first read is a message from God.)
There are many such cards out there: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/goddess-go/ - this set has some inspirational phrases that are self affirming and positive - always a good thing when you're recovering from an A - and they may give you answers from within, moreso than an expensive (and probably fraudulent) psychic hotline would.
Best wishes to you.
It's all good...L~
