Ok so here it is . I was in the military for 10 years and while in the military I did many things under orders that I have a difficult time dealing with. I have never beileved in karma but I guess I might have to rethink my position on the issue. I have been married 3 times and all 3 my W cheated on me . I have become 100% disabled due to chemicals I worked with in the military . I injested depleated Uranium and subsequently cause me to get parkinsons disease. Since I have been disabled I have tried to spend my time helping those less fortunate I.E. the red cross and helping with other disabled vets to still have an active life. If I truelly have hosed my Karma during the first Gulf War then what must I do to fix it or is there some things unfixable. Just something I have always wondered about . I know it isnt a completely relevent conversation for this forum but hey I dont get out much so I cant really ask anyone else.
As for what you did during your military time, you were under orders and I'm sure that when you had an opportunity to act positively, you did. That counts for sure.
I don't know if I 'hardcore' believe in Karma. I do believe that what goes around comes around and I really don't have to go out of my way to rectify things - they seem to take care of themselves.

You were under orders. Do not beat yourself up over that. If you feel bad about what those orders had you do then you are doing the right thing now. You are helping others and perhaps you can look at it as a way of making up for having to follow the orders that you did. Right now you are giving of yourself to help others and that is the energy you are creating around you. This is what you will attract back because of it.
Karma is only a b*tch when a person ignores the bad things they have done and the harm they have caused. When a person is remorseful, does the right thing and begins walking a path of integrity it stops the "bad" Karma in its tracks. You are well on your way to reversing anything you may have had to do under orders. Keep it up. The extra side benefit helping others gives you is how you start to feel about yourself. I wish you heaps of that.

You can't control your past but you can control your future. Don't torture yourself because you decided to give your life to your country. You deserve better.
I know very nice people who have had very bad things happen to them time and time again. And I know not so nice people who never seem to get what's coming to them. Karma? Not so sure.
Live and learn and try to be kind. Seems like you got the raw end of the stick. But some day, I believe, you will be rewarded for your self-lessness.

Now you have the present, and the future to deal with. You appear to be trying to give of yourself, and do good for others, so that is what you surround yourself with. Keep up the good work, and I hope that you get some good Kharma real soon, like winning the lottery, so you don't have to worry about anything!
