All last week there were articles in the news about this time of the year being the saddest due to the fact that the holidays are over, bills are coming in, and the short days. I got to thinking about my situation and my H began his EA in late December but it really cranked up by January to where I was noticing things were off. I wonder if the "sad" season was a time when more A's got started. Just curious.

What time of the year did your spouse or you start the EA or PA?

They started in late Feb and ended in early Oct.

Well my H began his Ea in June, had one physical encounter late August, and ended November, so that doesn't fit with me.

But what I have noticed is that a lot of people here, especially veterans are having some depression, trigger issues, bumps in the road etc.

In some ways it's a two headed coin; discouraging in some ways to know that I'll still be hurting and dealing with this 2,3,5,8 years down the line, but also encouraging to know that I don't have to just 'get over it' that its ok to give myself time and put no pressure on us.

Spring to fall for my H also. My H does go through a depression during this time of year. Last year he was drinking more than ever and treating me like shit. I think he was missing the OW..... looking back now.(never saw it that way).This is one reason I guess an EA is harder on the CS.I am still glad there was no PA(that I know of).
We have both quit drinking.... I will watch to see if his depression is as bad this year.

It definitely started by May but possibly as early as January or February.

March was when she started working with H, May was when things crossed the line on texting and e-mail and June 8th was when he got busted.

I would say that the OW was acting inappropriately by April and H didn't stop it.

Phone records indicated it began in June. He left at the beginning of August and came back at the end of October.

My W started the EA in Aug and the PA "ended" 2 days ago.

Hmm according to phone records it started in march and he says I caught him origionaly shortly after it started (although at that time he was in full blown denial). So I would say probably jan, feb but maybe earlier as my H has chosen to block out details and it wasrobably going for a few months prior to phone records. My H is famous for the winter blues.
