Hey, do you know what the measurement was? Here they use ng/ml so the numbers we use are a lot smaller like 3 and under. So I am not sure how that compares to yours.

But I do know that the number of eggs at retrieval also has to do with how well you respond to meds. So even if you have a lower AMH, if you respond well to the meds there is a good chance you can have just as many eggs as someone with a good AMH. Especially since you are still in the top 25th percentile.

I have low AMH, and my number is 0.6 so the scale you use must be different. Because of my low AMH for my age (almost 27) i was diagnosed w/ premature ovarian failure. But i respond to meds pretty well. My ivf coming up is a mini stim ivf, where i will only use the stims that I used for my last few IUIs, and I was getting 4-6 eggs with that. My Re also told me that she didn't expect me to produce a ton of eggs with a full IVF either because of my low AMH. I think you might want to ask your RE what a healthier range is, so you have that to compare it to. Good luck!

My, amh level came back low for my age (30) as well, but used a different scale my level was 0.7. Using the amh level and my antral follicle count my doc thinks I will get about 10 eggs. I found this chart you may want to look at but I would ask your Doc how many you might get.

It sounds like your doctor is using a different scale than mine. I have low AMH, especially for my age. At 30 my score was .7 and I did an IVF cycle that resulted in 4 eggs / 3 embryos and my second cycle was less than .1 and I had 6 eggs. I have a beautiful baby girl who is almost two who came from my first cycle. All you need is one golden egg! Try not to stress over the numbers. I've seen women have 20 eggs and still not get pregnant, while other have 4 or 5 and have twins. Quality is better than quantity and DHEA really helped me.

I have anywhere between .7 and 1.6. Consistently get retrievals of about 5 eggs. Have one daughter from first IVF.

I was told my AMH is 3.2 which is above average for my age (I'm 32). I am hoping and praying that the good AMH will make up for my rotten uterus. I have severe endometriosis. Sounds like you are i good shape for your IVF :)

I'm wondering if your number equates to a 1.04 on the scale many of us were given?? Anyhoo, my amh (when last measured 7 mos ago) was .6 - officially "very low." I am 36 and have endometriosis. I just found out my first IVF cycle took (still super early, but first 2 hcg tests look good). My RE was expecting maybe 4-5 good eggs, but out of nowhere they got 12 and 11 fertilized. (They had seen that many follicles, but many were small and they were afraid my cysts might block access.) I ended up with 6 embryos - 2 transferred, 4 frozen. My RE and I are still shocked. So you really just never know. I'll be sending many good thoughts your way!!!

P.S. I have also been seeing an acupuncturist for about 8 months (she's been focusing on helping my ovarian function) and she came to the transfer to do acupuncture right before and after.

Yeah I was confused when I was googling it and all the numbers looked funny, I guess likt you said it doesnt really matter, who knows what will happen when it comes to it, great to hear from you all though.

I am thinking of doing some acupuncture but not sure how much extra hassle it will be and money and then for what return?? Its so much to think about and sometimes I just opt out of thinking about it....

That is considered low. It's not AWFUL, but it's pretty low, especially for someone your age. Atleast that's what my RE told me about mine.

well she's right. it can b the very low side of normal, bordering not normal for your age. All it's basically saying is that your time to TTC is more limited then somebody who has a higher AMH. It's in general how many eggs you have left. For me being 26 when I had .6 AMH my RE was really concerned, and figured I only had a couple years left, and considering we don't know what caused the low AMH, maybe even less. The fact that you're still over 1. means you still have more time. The quanitity is not supposed to affect the quality, so it's still extremely possibly to have a great round :-)

I had 0.06-0.15 and I did 3 cycles the first had a retrieval cancelled for only 2 follies, the second had premature ovulation, and the third had 2 mature eggs out of 4 follies and 0 fertilized. Then I got pregnant naturally the first month I tried and last year got pregnant after 5 months. So the numbers aren't the be all end all but they do seem to predict response to ivf.
