My coworker's 20 year old son's girlfriend is Ops pregnant. My coworkers is so excited to be a grandmother she bought them a house so the girlfriend can stay home. I feel like these dumb kids are getting rewarded for being stupid and fertile.
They will have to wing it and thus, make more mistakes and have to learn a lot in a shorter span of time. Their children will look to them to be their hero, but believe me; being a teen or young adult mother makes it very difficult to fill those shoes. If anything, I pray for young mothers because they don't have the slightest d*mn clue what they are getting themselves into. And unfortunately, their offspring will grow up and realize how their young/unprepared parents made a lot of mistakes in raising them. In other words, the children's lives will be affected.
We on the other hand, have wanted to be mothers for a longer period of time. We've had time to plan, examine other parents (especially bad parenting); and have a much better idea of how we will handle parenhood. Therefore, we will be better equipped to handle parenthood.
While I get your frustration, I wouldn't envy these young girls. They have a difficult life ahead of them. If anything, prayers are in order - not only for them, but for the lives of their innocent offspring.
When you don't know your place...I will gladly show you.

There is a book out there called "Every drunken cheer leader why not me." I read it when my IF first started, talks about all these emotions that we have which are 100% normal.
I have green eyed envy for every preggo out there. I avoid them like the plague.
And hearing or seeing people who are not prepared to have children, are bad parents, or abuse their kids, drives me nuts.
My dad recently told me about my stepbrother's wife (two babies under 3 years old). She says to the daughter, "Get outta my face I am tired of looking at you." Can you imagine! To a three year old. I wouldn't even say that to anyone let alone a baby. Crazy. Just crazy.
I get to look at her fat pregnant belly for the next few months.
Here's the kicker: I'm leaving my job in January and she's due right before I leave. It's like nature's way of giving me the finger.
I actually was devoid of feelings when I heard cuz it was so upsetting.

Imagine teaching a bunch of high school girls every year and at least 2-3 get preg a year. Argh!
