My Ob/Gyn was very adamant about this and with good reason. She has strictly forbid me from taking anykind of 'snake oil salesman' herbal supplment/tea/etc. A LOT of vitamins and supplements that are sold in nutrition stores and online are NOT GOOD for pregnancy or conception. They aren't regulated very much and can have alot of ingredients that while "natural and healthy" are detrimental to a fetus. For example...MINT is often touted for tummy troubles and indigestion. But there are different kinds of 'mint' and it's never stated what kind you are drinking/eating/taking. Some mints are actually used by Native American cultures to speed along MISCARRIAGES!
If you are unsure about your Folic Acid intake, I would immediately call your RE or OB or whatever and tell them what you are taking and then get THEIR suggestions for what you need.
I hate to sound so harsh about this, but it's important to be careful and we all have ENOUGH to worry about without the added stress on herbal stuff.
One of the main reasons I use "NOW" is because it contains no yeast, wheat, gluten, milk, egg, sugar, salt or preservatives.
