I went to for my first test this morning and I am anxiously awaiting the call. I've never felt so much anxiety, even with the first three IUIs I swear I wasn't this anxious waiting for the call!

I was wondering Does a number in the high 300's mean multiples?

unfortunately there is no link between HCG levels and multiples but you never know!!! Could be one could be 4 lol.

Thanks Hope. I guess it wasn't in God's plans for us to have a pregnancy this round. After coping with the news its time to figure out what to do next, wait or go right in for another round.

I'm sorry to hear amjl, don't give up but if you need to take a break do it. I did around Christmas and New Years I just couldn't hack the stress during the holidays. Baby dust to you!

So my blood test came back positive that I am pregnant bit I did a urine test and it was negative any thoughts why this could be the doc deff said I am pregnant. ********Baby Dust Everyone * * * * * * * *

Rb, what was your number? If it's under 100 you might not have enough HCG in your urine to show up on a HPT. Also your urine could have been too diluted to produce a positive. Try again first thing tomorrow morning (it's called using your FMU or first morning urine and most HPTs recommend it in the side of the box).

My HcG was like 47 I thinking was taken 10 days after the transfer of 5 day fresh embryos doc called and told me I was pregnant I hope my numbers keep going up! ****** Baby Dust everyone * * * * *

A positive is a positive! But I'm fairly certain that's too low for most HPTs to pick up. The number should keep rising - definitely try again tomorrow morning, and congratulations!

amjl - sorry to hear you bfn. was this a fresh transfer? Did you have any make it to freeze? Some people have much better luck with a FET. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

rbcurly - Congrats! My numbers were so low on my first IVF that I did not get a positive on a HPT until after my second beta. I am sure that is what is happening with you as well. Also, my clinic says anything over 30 for your first beta is good. And its not really the number but if its rising like it should. Whens your second beta? Today I think. Good luck!

Becca - my nurse says that your HCG can sometimes be an indicator of twins but not always. If your first beta is really high (I picture over 500-1000) your chances of twins are higher. But its not always the case. Your first numbers can be low and still have twins or they can be high and its just one. A lot of it depends on when implantation occurs etc. But 300 is a great first number, so you never know. Cant wait to hear your second numbers.
