I know you are disappointed, but this is not your fault. Please don't blame yourself.
My husband and I have been TTC for 4 years. We were finally successful in December of 2011, but I miscarried in February. It was the hardest thing I've ever experienced. I thought that after all the time it took us to conceive, we were in the clear. boy, was I wrong.
Take time to grieve and mourn. I found the following to be helpful: writing a letter to our baby, finishing a scrapbook for the baby, keeping a journal, working with a counselor, attending local support groups, communicating with the women on this website, prayer, attending church and just doing things that made me happy. Supporting others who went through a similar experience helped me to heal.
You are not alone. We are here for you!
I've noticed that women don't respond as frequently to posts in the PCOS and Infertility support group. You may want to copy and paste this post on the main board of the Infertility support group or the miscarriage support group for more responses.
Shawnie is right... it's not your fault, but I know that doesn't always help in the moment. You do need to grieve and take time to express sorrow over your loss. When I lost my baby, the doc said "there's nothing but debris left". Those words have never still hurt to this day. I was only 6 weeks, but that was my child... and still is... and one day, we will be together.
But, you can't allow yourself to get stuck in your grief forever. Your husband is strong for you, but chances are, he needs comfort too. Focus on loving each other right now and helping each other through it, and then look to the future. My prayers are with you.
