I'm going for my 2nd IUI with Clomid only tomorrow...so my 1st didn't work...but I know a lot of woman who's 1st did work...so don't lose hope. Stay positive, keep taking your prenatals and taking good care of yourself and you'll get there :)
Good Luck girly :)
I did 3 cycles of Clomid and 2 cycles of Repronex. I was just about give up and head to IVF when it worked. I have insurance that covered 6 IUI's, but no coverage for IVF. So I'm very grateful for that too.
Best of luck with your 1st IUI. I almost forgot to mention I'm 38yo and it worked for me so it will happen for you too.
Thank you for posting this and yes, I'm really happy to hear the results fo so many woman here getting BFP on the first and second tries.
I also heard of people getting pregnant on the first try.
Thankfully I live in NJ and have CIGNA - they are paying for everything except the sperm itself. They even paid for the meds. I can't believe it. I feel this is God telling me something.
So...check with your insurance and get rates from different doctors. I had one worthless RE quote me $3K for everything - with $600 out of pocket - before sperm.
But then I found a great RE whose rates are way lower...like $500 per IUI... I have to double check the sonograms, but they were reasonable too.
Plus, this RE has an outstanding success rate.
So I would get a price sheet from the RE and check with your insurance. Also see what insurance plans do cover as you may be able to get a secondary plan.
Good Luck and sticky baby dust!
