I remember this day! It's crazy how worked up you get over it and then you'll be like, PFT, that was it!? I was forced to do my own injections once while stuck at an airport and my husband couldn't really come in the bathroom with me. I was in there for 30 minutes trying to get the nerve to do them! Haha! Good luck, this is an exciting day...things are happening!!!

Zelda you are so brave I am so scared of needles not sure how that would of worked for me. Ladies last night I started my first shot of Menopur and that one really hurt. Thank God I will be done with all shots this sunday I am super excited I go back for my scan this friday to make sure all is going good. I have my baseline tomorrow at 8:15 am and I assume I will start the shots after work tomorrow. I can't believe it's finally here! Been waiting for years for this!!

Thats awesome KTK the first 2 shots are not painful the menopur is a bigger needle so it hurts a little more. I am going to try the ice trick that Calicutie suggested :) best of luck to you in this journey

Tonight is my last BCP... thank God!

I have a really dumb question that I forgot to ask my RE...now that I've stopped BCP will I get a period? Sorry to sound like a dope but this is my first experience with BCP....EVER.

HA HA Chef ggrl I did the ice trick last night that Calicutie suggested and I was so excited that I felt no pain whoo hooo :) I left the ice bag on for like 5 minutes ha ha. I had my second ultrasound today and it all looks great I have 14 follis that are growing at a good rate and next week on monday will be my last ultrasound before the retrieval on wednesday. This is the furthest we have ever gone :) Good luck to you all will keep you posted.

I finished all my stim shots a couple of nights ago. The GonalF wasn't bad after I got over being afraid of it. The only one that gave me any issue was the Cetrotide - my skin would turn red and I'd get a big bump that took about 12 hours to go away. My RE said I was reacting to the preservatives in the shot and that that was a common reaction.I do have a few bruises but they're fading. Best of luck to you!!!

Yes, I haven't minded the GonalF injections but the Cetrotide are a bit worse I think. I bleedon one of them and get the red bee sting look too. I guess it is just a bit more of a procedure mixing all the stuff together rather than just using a pen. I had my first scan yesterday and have 23 follicles - the nurse thought that was great, so I am having another scan on Tuesday with egg collection on Thursday or Friday...can't believe how quickly it is all progressing!
