Ehh- those ones don't leave too many marks or bruises. Here and there you may find a few spots but really it's all about injection placement- you'll be a pro after a few sticks! GOOD LUCK!

I agree with Courage2010. I was so scared the first night of injections that I cried as Brent gave it to me. It's not bad :-). Just more annoying then anything. Good luck to you!

chimera1, I just got done with all of my gonalF injections on Saturday. I have to say, I was a bit freaked out, and lucky for me my neighbor's husband is a nurse so I went to them for some moral/medical support with the first one, but it wasn't bad, didn't really hurt, and the only thing they leave is a tiny spot of blood after. I haven't even felt overly hormonal or weird or anything. You have nothing to worry about. Good luck!

i hope your first injection went well. i still have yet to inject myself, my husband thankfully does it for me. My only suggestion is to make sure you alternate sides to avoid bruising and soreness. I took the shots in my belly and would change from side to side. my last cycle i needed to do 2 injections a day so it got alittle difficult to keep finding new spots. good luck

the first one is the hardest. afterward, you become a pro. just do it fast, don't hesitate. GOOD LUCK. you can do it!

Good luck Chimera!!! I just didn't 10 days of Menopur injections and although my belly felt like a pin cushion by the end, it really was not as bad as I expected. I iced the area for about a minute before the injection and actually gave them all to myself....my hubby was by my side, but he hates needles more than I do! haha
There was no visible bruising or marks!

Wow, thanks so much for all the moral support from everyone! You guys are really amazing!! My first injection was just fine, had just got back from a yoga class, so I'm guessing that helped, and Chris did it...BUT it really didn't hurt at all!

Macquire35 - yes, I will try to do alternate sides as well - on Friday I start 2 injections a day as taking Cetrotide as well.

Hi! New here but wanted to wish you well on your journey! My protocol has me on birth control until 10/24 and a tentative start of injections next Monday 10/28. Blessings to all!

I am a big chicken when it comes to needles so I had to put my big girl panties on. Thankfully my husband is giving me the injections. before he pinches my sking to give me the shot I take a deep breath and hold it and in my mind it helps with the pain. I will be taking 3 shots everyday for about a week and yes I feel like a run out of spots. Thanks calicutie81 about the ice advice :) thank you all for being here
