A hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus, usually done by a gynecologist. Hysterectomy may be total (removing the body and cervix of the uterus) or partial (also called supra-cervical). Although there are conservative alternatives, hysterectomy is performed for uterine fibroids, pelvic pain, pelvic relaxation, heavy or abnormal menstrual bleeding, and cancer.
Hi all had Lap hysterectomy approaching week 2 and among feeling empty curious as to when I can sleep on my side or tummy. Having problems sleeping and laying on my back isn't hmmm helping

It took me 3 weeks to feel more comfortable and the pain to leave. You may need help sleeping. It is more than physical, it is emotional too.

Dealing with an insensitive significant other more so post surgery. The pressure of having sex just makes me not want to even try to jump back into it 8 weeks post surgery. Anyone else going through this?
