Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) Support Group
The term hypoglycemia literally means "low blood sugar." Hypoglycemia can produce a variety of symptoms and effects but the principal problems arise from an inadequate supply of glucose as fuel to the brain, resulting in impairment of function. Derangements of function can range from vaguely "feeling bad" to coma and in the worst case, can be fatal.
Have you had the 2-hour or 5-hour OGTT? I've had the 2-hour test and it didn't reveal anything. Must've been a good day for me. But, suddenly in the past three weeks my symptoms have drastically changed to be similar to yours. I don't function well after almost any meal, especially breakfast and lunch. My doc might schedule the 5-hour OGTT for me in a few weeks. Forcing myself to take a brisk 10-20-minute walk after a meal often helps me recover faster.
Does your face feel funny, kind of numb?
You can test for food allergy by taking your pulse before and after a meal. If it goes up 10+ while sitting still, you should get checked out.
Of course I'm not a doctor and I've learned all this from the Internet in desperation. God's love and blessings to you.

I used to feel especially drunk after I ate potatoes and gluten.I also got tested by a enviromental medicine MD that tested me for these foods and they showed positive.Something to look into.
I also take a product called sport from a company called mannatech that really helps my bloodsugar.
If I stay on vegetables, poultry, fish, cheese, its ok.
And not sleeping and resting enough is like the queen trigger.
Something else: I can have exercise and do better, on veggie and proteins. Enough. But feel better than with carbs
Insulin resistance in muscle and fat cells reduces glucose uptake (and also local storage of glucose as glycogen and triglycerides, respectively), whereas insulin resistance in liver cells results in reduced glycogen synthesis and storage and a failure to suppress glucose production and release into the blood. Insulin resistance normally refers to reduced glucose-lowering effects of insulin. However, other functions of insulin can also be affected. For example, insulin resistance in fat cells reduces the normal effects of insulin on lipids and results in reduced uptake of circulating lipids and increased hydrolysis of stored triglycerides. Increased mobilization of stored lipids in these cells elevates free fatty acids in the blood plasma. Elevated blood fatty-acid concentrations (associated with insulin resistance and diabetes mellitus Type 2), reduced muscle glucose uptake, and increased liver glucose production all contribute to elevated blood glucose levels. High plasma levels of insulin and glucose due to insulin resistance are a major component of the metabolic syndrome. If insulin resistance exists, more insulin needs to be secreted by the pancreas. If this compensatory increase does not occur, blood glucose concentrations increase and type 2 diabetes occurs.

Also, I eat very healthy and have for years. The worst my health has ever been when I was eating a diet for reactive hypoglycemia of only meat, green vegetables and very little low glycemic fruits. I gained 50 lbs. I would say that's pretty abnormal response. As I added more carbs back in I didn't feel as bad, but still, not good.
The most concerning thing for me is that when I just have straight sugar or don't eat at all I feel terrific. I know this is terribly unhealthy but in order for me to get through the day to be able to provide for myself, this is what I have to do : (
I have not been able to find any answers and doctors ignore my complaints. Working on my adrenals and thyroid has helped somewhat, but still this feeling remains and it is disabling. I am afraid of driving, like you said. It is hard for me to do anything.
I'm sure this info doesn't really help you, but I hope, like me, if feels good not to be alone. If we do discover the cause, we can at least let each other know. Best wishes to you.
this direction is for "reactive hypoglycemia type"
get in tough with how your body is with sugar and monitor every damn once! every damn gram. this could mean the difference between a terrible life and an outstanding one while you are hear.
If i have to much sugars I can be suicidal. Vegatables and meats kick ass. I make my own soup, no ketchup sugars.. I eat or drink water every two hours if I can. I've found an amost sugarless wheat bread I can take with high protein and almost no sugar but some rasin jiuce. can take this some. careful with the carbs!
even brown rice careful. careful with dairy sugars. if ketchup has sugar be careful. don't do it daily. think of your body like a a bowl of container for sugar. if surgars get to high you'll feel wierd, shaky, anxiety, confusion. Go drink water and lots when this happens you'll start feeling better, that or walk and work out.
take it easy on yourself. find jobs that work with you. follow your dreams but now yourself. :)
I quit soy milk because it had sugar n was eating it daily. I can't do blueberries daily, too much sugar. 7 grams daily of sugar had fowled me up. I am so much better now!! i've found soy and almond milk with no sugar and I use stevia. I make my own stuff but if i do rice more than once in the day, you guessed it too much carb sugars over time. alchohol have to be leery with and careful..
in an attack drinking shit loads of water can pull you threw it.. it will flush out the sugars.. also peanut butter kicks ass when needing protein. a half cup of peanut butter. (must be adams, no sugar!!) can pull you through. you can even add a little honey if you need to balance out sugars momentarily.
If your having milk that has sugar.. One thing that you eat daily could be causing the issue. finding that one think could be amazingly beneficial.
Now if it is a thing like me it can be frustrating.. but you have to look at it like this.. I will just start eating with as much dedication as rockstars or actresses and actors who are world famous.
that will give you mental strength. the social preasures are the heartest part of eating right.. but it's soooooo worth it!! learn how to combat the social preasures and you can eat better. if someone offers you gum w/ sugar say thank you and take it and put it in your pocket and later throw it away.. these are lil secrets.. it takes effort.
your eating organic? Great. that's awesome. but time to limit carbs and experiment. You must keep a journal in the begining. !! Journal what foods work and what don't. it will seem pointless at first but if you keep at it I promise you can improve.
Let your employees know even before you get a job that you are an awesome worker but you do have mild hypoglycemia where you just need to eat small and a lil more often but totally won't get in the way of your job. You can do it.. Hang in there!! ;) :)
Grass fed beef, free range chicken (non caged eggs etc), an non farm raised fish. Its extreme but it has helped me a lot with the drunk/tired feeling.
I know what ya mean bout tired of fighting ...hang in there!
Right now the gluten has damaged my stomach and dietary track to the point of where its not breaking the food down properly...

Oh and Nerd...yes that is true...my brothers wife had a diabetic condition that made her body turn sugars into alcohol of some nature...I forget what it is called though...but it is very rare.
