Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) Support Group
The term hypoglycemia literally means "low blood sugar." Hypoglycemia can produce a variety of symptoms and effects but the principal problems arise from an inadequate supply of glucose as fuel to the brain, resulting in impairment of function. Derangements of function can range from vaguely "feeling bad" to coma and in the worst case, can be fatal.
Thanks danny for all your wise input. I have read almost every post and they all make perfect sense to me.
Based on your information, I am a reactive hypoglycemic, probably the kind that has somewhat normal level reading, but with the swings.
Also, I feel fine if I fast and feel fine if i skp breakfast, lunch, even dinner.
I have tried the "Carbohydrates addicts diet" and the "Zone Diet"
Both seemed to work but i think maybe the initial pahse of feeling worse for a while drove my cravings so high i cheated and pigged out on carbs. Then i feel like crap few a few days...start again, fell better for a bit, then start the cycle all over again.
I have read cysteine can help reduce the effectiveness of insulin. I tried my first does tonight...yes i had a bad dessert tonight :(
I\'m not sure how I\'m reacting.
This is a great place!
