Hypochondria Support Group
Hypochondria refers to excessive worry about having a serious illness. Hypochondria is often characterized by fears that minor bodily symptoms may indicate a serious illness, constant self-examination and self-diagnosis, and a preoccupation with one's body. Many individuals with hypochondriasis express doubt and disbelief in the doctors' diagnosis.
My partner ran to my side and made me promise I would not google symptoms. So..I need another idea from this group. What could this be? Just anxiety? I can accept that. And how long will it last? Sometimes the twitches slow and Inget pins and needles in my feet.
I realized how truly unlikely ALS is when I read an article from someone in New Mexico that sai there are only 3 people in the whole state that suffer from ALS.
And if you have not seen the documentary Gleason..please don't watch it. It is an incredible movie with an incredible story, but certainly NOT for people with hypochondria!
So..does anyone know what kind of doctor I would see to ask about muscle twitches and tingling toes?
I really look forward to hearing from all of you.
