Hyperthyroidism Support Group
Hyperthyroidism (or "overactive thyroid gland") is the clinical syndrome featuring weight loss (often accompanied by a ravenous appetite), fatigue, weakness, hyperactivity, irritability, apathy, depression, polyuria, and sweating. Additional symptoms may include palpitations and arrhythmias (notably atrial fibrillation), dyspnea, loss of libido, nausea, vomiting, and...
Everyone does have their own set points with their Free Ts. I would aim with the Free Ts at mid range and then work on the dosing and labbing while paying close attention to the symptoms to see where towards the upper range for the FT4 you would feel best at.
I like having my FT3 at mid range and for the FT4 at least .(point) 2 away from the high end for my FT4 lab reference range which is 0.82-1.77 so 1.55 for me.

You are so exacting. Good for you! I guess after all this time you really know your body and its triggers.
My body is playing games with me. I think one food I eat is okay but then the next time I get a lot of stomach distress and the HYPER symptoms come crashing in. I don;t want to feel defeated by this. I guess the GD antibodies are acting up and my body only knows how to eliminate it by pushing it through my body. (You know what I mean)
I wonder how does one get HYPER and HYPO at the same time? I can feel REALLY cold and then I get diarrhea and heart palpitations. Sometimes, I can’t win.
I think back and I remember when I thought I was going through peri-menopause symptoms where I would feel real cold and moments later real hot. Little did I know this was my thyroid talking to me. I wish I could laugh about it.
Last night I went to the movies with my adult children. Prior to the movie I ate at the food court of the mall where the movie theaters are located. I ate a Teriyaki chicken meal with rice and and steamed veggies. I suffered with aches and pains and am still feeling them. The sauce has wheat and soy in it.
Some day down the road we shall see better restaurants in the food courts that will include organic, non-GMO, as well as being paleo-friendly among many selections.

I think we conveniently forget that most OUTSIDE foods are no good for us. Who knows how much sodium was in that teriyaki sauce. The only thing that seemed safe in that mixture was the steamed vegetables. I am sorry you had to experience that.
I just weighed myself and it is creeping upwards. I noticed that EVERYTHING slowed down. I do believe that if the “bad foods” are not in the home, there is less temptation. I even told my husband to lock up HIS goodies. I am not to be trusted. :-)
I don't have to worry about my husband's goodies that are the M& M's things like Almond Joy, Kit Kat, and ??? Just looking at those things that are in the freezer makes me recall how ill I get from having tried those in the past.
I will just stick with my occasional treats of raw honey patties from Heavenly Organics.
I wish you success. I would wonder of the possibility if you may be one of the 20% of people heading hypO? That's only if the GD antibodies are low enough or if the mixture of blocking and stimulating antibodies from the TRAb show that.
