Human papillomavirus is a diverse group of DNA-based viruses that infect the skin and mucous membranes of humans. More than 100 different human papillomavirus (HPV) types have been characterized. Some HPV types cause benign skin warts, or papillomas, for which the virus family is named. HPVs associated with the development of such "common warts" are transmitted...

Hey all! Just need to post, sometimes I feel the need to type, it helps formulate things in my head.
I got HPV, the genital wart giving kind in June 2011. February 2012 I was giving the all clear after various bouts of freezing, podophyllin, and finally Aldara; which seemed to clear the warts.
I must say after that I was paranoid that they would return, however they didn't until now... maybe! 11 months later bringing us to a couple of days ago and I find 2 bumps next to each other and freak out!
A few things run through my head.
1. 11 months and now? I thought I was clear? I understand that they can return but thought it was more unlikely considering the gap
2. I have had the same partner throughout... infact I gave him warts. I did tell him but he insisted he wanted to be with me still and we are in a happy relationship. He is currently treating his warts with condyline. Anyone had any experience with this?
3. ERGH. and lots of tears.
Anyway, I went to the clinic and the doctor took a look at them. Despite saying that they do not typically look like warts and if anything look more like abrasions she decided to check them by freezing them.
One she said definitely was not a wart due to its reaction when being sprayed and then the other one was either very early stage wart or not. She was on the fence. Her advice was to watch it and if it gets bigger or changes to come back and receive treatment. Or that fact that she froze it then may have killed it anyway.
Waiting is the worst thing. All that hard work of 11 months. the tears. the dedicated visit to the clinic twice a week. the fretting. Everything seems a little bit wasted.
I am very lucky. My boyfriend says we will get through this together. Also I don't know if it's a wart but all I can say is that it has made me worry and that is the worst thing I can do.

Is anyone here allergic to Sulfa that is currently taking Diamox? I have been diagnosed with IH now for almost 2 years. I am allergic to Sulfa drugs meaning that my throat will swell up so my Neurologist put me on Topamax. I was suffering from major loud whoosing noises and the topamax helped that but everyday I still hear those mainly between 6 - 12 pm. I am at my wits end and have not went...
I know for many months after I was diagnosed I would check that area at least daily with a mirror to see if there were any changes, I would use vinegar to see if it would make the bumps turn white, and at first I questioned every single bump. The doctor told me it was normal to get some bumps in that area and I was noticing every single bump because I was looking constantly; people who don't have anything wrong in that area usually don't examine it, lol.
I have been wart free for a year now but I still look like once a week. Today I did notice a bump and kind of questioned it, but over the past year, I've learned to wait a few days and then check again just in case it's nothing.
Try not to worry. The fact that she was certain that one of the bumps wasn't a wart is a good thing, especially since the bumps were right near each other. Chances are the second bump was the same thing as the first bump. :)
