What my ex did to me was, she texted me the following words...

"Hi -my name-, I found out I got genital warts. I'm sorry."

She knew she gave it to me rather than I gave it to her (because she's the only person I slept with while she has 3 other sexual partners...or 4...I don't know)

So yeah, maybe you could do the same but if you're so sure it is him then perhaps you can omit saying you're sorry.

well, for me when i had to tell my ex, i called her, i am not an expert, i can only give advice from what i have experienced. you could mail him a letter. if that is not possible, you could send him a facebook message telling him you need to talk and then chat with him on facebook. i hope this helps

If he doesnt show any symptoms then he might not believe u. When I told the person that I think gave it to me he didnt believe me because he never got anything. So u can just let it go and worry about yourself because u dont know if he was the one for sure. It might be coincidence or could of been the first guy or second guy. It can take years or months to show symptoms. Right now u have to worry about u because at the end he is not going to be there for u. Maybe u gave it to him or vice versa but at this moment it doesnt really matter. I felt the same way to confront the one who did this and I got nothing out of it because while I was going through tbe depression he moved on. And he would continue to not care because he doesnt have anything. So just worry about getting better.

And FYI it goes away. I had it for a year and a half. Now im clear. So dont think ur going to deal with it for the rest of ur life. Just take it as a lesson to be learn. Think what u done wrong in ur past and except it and u will see it will soon be over

Befreetoday isn't really wrong. I agree with her. Just inform him but worry about yourself first. Some people are dead stubborn about it and might blame you instead of themselves when they were the ones who gave you HPV and not the other way around.

This very similar thing happened to me when I found out I had genital warts. When I told the guy that I had been having sex with he seemed a little like he didn't believe me that he most likely has it too. We were having unprotected sex for a year and he was sleeping around where I was not. He blew me off and didn't care very much. At this point I wouldn't stress over telling him. Hes showing no symptoms so he won't get it most likely. Just focus on you and being healthy and happy. Trust me, it sucks to go through all the trouble of telling someone who couldn't care less. keep your chin up=)

I asked people the same question. I was told by a doctor not to tell any exes as it was not neccessary. They told me to stop worrying about it. You cannot be sorry about something which was out of your control at the time.

What you can do is write him an anonymous letter or email (with a different email address or account) You can let him know what happened. Inform him of what HPV is and how it does not necessarily show signs right away. You can tell him that you believe he gave it to you. You do not have to disclose yourself but despite what the doctors say, it is good for you to tell him so that the next person he sleeps with may be aware. He may not care but you can help the next girl not contract it. Sending a text or email is very careless even though you did not give it to him. If you do not disclose your identity, then it will be okay to send an email or letter. You can give him information about it by print outs or links. It is best to inform him rather than not tell him at all but you do not have to disclose yourself or say you got it from him. You can give as little details as possible about who you are or how you are sure it was from him but give him plenty of information about HPV/GW. I think you will feel more comfortable by not disclosing yourself.
