Am I the only one who's spots get really itchy? It usually happens at night when I'm trying to go to sleep. I just lie there and rub over my dressings like a maniac. Probably not the best idea but it gets really unbearable. I had the hardest time falling asleep last night because I was trying not to do it. Is there a way to make it stop? Its realy driving me crazy.

I really feel u on that one. My scars seem to itch big time too & especially at night when im trying to go to sleep. So I can truly understand what ur going through...it's no fun at all. I also recommend using Benadryl, it seems to kinda work for me, I use the 25 or 50mg capsules. Well hope u find something that works for u & finally get some kind of relief. Good luck!!!

I've been using Cortizone-10 Intensive Healing Formula to very good success. The itching is always worse at night for me, too. Very annoying...

I was just about to start a post about the exact same thing! I can't stand the itching and like everyone else said its the worst at night as I'm trying to fall asleep...its so unbearable that u wish I could just rip my skin right off and sometimes if I itch enough I do end up breaking the skin! For me I find it's the scars and bandages that cause most of my itching. My actual lesions itself don't really itch much well under my arm anyway, the lesions in my groin itch like crazy though. I've tried cortisone cream which helps somewhat and so does polysporin but the itch can still be pretty intense!

THE EXFOILIATING SCRUB WORKS GREAT, GETS RID OF THE ITCH, AND ODOR. OF CORSE IF YOUR SKIN IS SENSITIVE WITH A SORE, NOT SURE IF YOU SHOULD USE IT.

When mine are healing, they itch like bananas. I had one a few days that was driving me absolutely up a wall. Because I'm still treating it, I don't know about putting lotion on it. I do know that apple cider vinegar works both to treat the boils and it relieves the itch. Don't use it if the wound is still open.

A little cortisone OC can work miracles. All healing wounds, whether HS or not, get to an itchy stage...oddly, it's usually a good sign but I know it's also misery. Benadry is great and I have also found a lotion called "Sensitive Sarna" that i buy at the drugstore and it is wonderful in reducing itching and letting me get some sleep. Of course if it's sleep you're after with the itching, Benadryl capsules will knock you out nicely........
