I keep pretty quiete about my hep c because of the ignorant reactions of others. The two that bother me most is how did you get it and one that has come up several times is" I know someone who went through the treatment and they died". A couple of times I have had people actually step back away from me and ask if it is contagious. Now I just chuckle when it happens,

I met a man through a friend, and we went out a few of times, so when it came time to take it to the next level, I told him about the hep, as I always do. I never heard from him again! Adios MoFo!

Then there is the friend that actually introduced me to this guy...we've been friends since the 80s, and used to spend a lot of time together, and as friends do, we shared desserts, etc. When she found out about the hep., she stopped sharing desserts.

When I found out a friend of mine had the C, I was scared to share a joint with him. Then I found out he had the C hep, and not the "other".

When my brother had a liver scare over the Holidays, he asked me if perhaps he caught my HCV. I explained how it is contracted and let him know if his DR thought he had the C, they would test for it. He only had a non serious thing on his liver and all is well today.

Times like these are def great a time to educate the "dumb masses".

So that joint sounds pretty good now doesn't it? I'm actually feeling a little nauseous now after my morning RIBA. A few hits would help that but alas I'm at work. I wanna go home. Moooooommmmm!!!
