I woke up with red spot on my tongue which look like bruises. Is that common? I thought I would ask everyone here since I seem to get a better response than the doctors office. Thanks for the help!!

in the beginning i had a sore mouth. seems like the spots would get well and move around. tongue also.......it seemed to go away after a few weeks.

lol, bear, thats a good one. I would wake up at night and have to pry my tongue off the roof of my mouth, drove me crazy.

yes, that's normal. and next you might get sores on the sides of your mouth. it's so buggy. but it does go away evantually. so sorry this is happening to you. when the sores got REALLY bad the doc gave me a prescription for something that was for herpes. i told him that i didn't have herpes he said most people have the virus in them but it never manifests until the immune system is compromised in some way. so i too the meds and it cleared all the mouth stuff up. so if it gets too awful ask you doc about getting a prescription for it.

I had sores in my mouth two...but I started using salt water rinses and mouthwash as soon as it started and it went away.

My tongue has been trying to convince me to say foul things to people for no apparent reason! I experienced a severe case of road rage while pushing my cart through Costcos the other day! Fortunately my lips held their ground and refused to open!

I had a few sores in my mouth. I don't know how much they had to do with tx but it took a long time for them to heal. Wes.

I mostly have had those small bumps like the end of tongue but go away in a couple of days, Now tho...............like my tongue is on fire, red and sore.............dentist the best place to go????

If the typical stuff mentioned here doesn't help the sore mouth/tongue issue, ask your Hep dr about Magic Mouthwash. He/she can give an Rx to the pharmacist to have them mix it up for you. Check this out:

I'm like marty, in the beginning I had sores in my mouth all the time but then mine would disappear after a couple days. It sounds normal, if it doesn't go away in a couple days tell your doc.

thank you for asking the ? because i all so have a very sore tongue how many weeks in are you i am doing my 4th shot today
