I don't mean to nit-pick, but isn't funny that they say keep water ..."in places you frequent - at home, in the office and in the car." But, later on, it mentions to ...."Never leave plastic water bottles in direct sunlight or in a car." HUH? But, you JUST said...... LOL

I'm guessing that is why I see people with those plastic cups with the straws in them all the time. I see them sold in almost every store. I wonder how hard those things would be to clean...

Oh, this is EXCELLENT! No way am I going to drink 91 oz. of water/fluids a day esp. at my low weight (today was 105 lbs. - EEK, not good - I'm 5'4" tall - almost). I have a beautiful 32 oz. water bottle that I got online, and I carry it around with me all day. It's so gorgeous I'm inspired to actually USE it. My goal is to drink two of those bottles a day, of just water, which I haven't managed YET! My nurse reminded me today about fluids and how much it would help my now chronic Sovadli-related headache if I drink a LOT - with fluids that have electrolytes in them, i.e., "power drinks." I have got to get serious about this.

love - that's one reason why I LOVE my water bottle. I get the gallon bottles of water at the store, refrigerate them, and pour the water into that bottle. It's not plastic. I'm not even sure what it is made of, but I know it's "safe stuff."

I noticed this article is speaking to the "old" tx (with Interferon, although some brave souls here are doing it now with Sovaldi), but the info. is just as relevant to ALL the various tx's out there now.

My wife calls me the "pee police" because I'm always on her to drink more water!

Oh - ha - I hadn't seen that middle sentence until just now. Only because you just wrote something about that post did I notice it. It's the headache.

Ha ha ha - 's okay. Pretty funny actually (to me anyway) - good pun or whatever. Time for me to cover the eyeballs (it's feeling like an ice pick working behind one of them - I'm fearing some sort of stealth lobotomy).

Actually I drank more when I did inf I was always thirsty it let you know to drink. This new tx it will sneak up on you. It's like next thing you know your hump is dry and it's time too fill it.

What other side effects are there from Sovaldi besides headaches? I've been very fortunate that I have been headache-free most of my life, especially considering I have herniations in my neck! I'm concerned about puking. I started puking about 2 months ago seemingly out of the blue - and I am just not a puker! So, to start this now has me very concerned cuz I start treatment sometime in the next 10 days or so.

Zennah - I too WAS headache free most of my adult life - but I am who got the Sovaldi headaches. So there's no way of predicting if you will or not. It's a mean one, I can tell you that - does not stop and even sends pings behind my left eyeball. IF you get them, your nurse will give you guidance on what to do to ease them. You really have to ask her - she knows best what you can and cannot tolerate. I use Ibuprofen, but never before this did I know I could - but thank god, because Tylenol does nothing for pain for me. We're all different.

The only other side effect I've heard of is fatigue - but it's rarer than the headache. Oh - light sensitivity is a possible side of Olysio - my headache compounds it. If you do Olysio, you'll be instructed to stay out of the sun as much as possible and wear big hats, long sleeves, sunscreen, etc. I live in the desert of all places but have always shunned the blistering sun here. Now - I have to - can't bear the light.

No nausea on S&O - haven't seen anyone having that unless the headache might get terribly severe, I guess.

So will you being doing Sova and Oly? Or Sova and Riba?

sorry for the typos - jeez - my headache is cresting - just took 400 mg of Ibu. but it hasn't kicked in yet. Time for a "lie down" and use my awesome IMAK pillow mask.

Zennah, I was tx naive, but compared to all I've read here about the sides of Interferon, Riba - Incivek for the old triple - this is NOTHING.
