Contracted Hep in 1971 or 72, Nearly died. Then it was non A/non B
Dx'd 1998 1a
decided at that to wait for better tx other than SOC
no sx's until abt. 2004-05 / Got progressively worse.
in 2011 discovered I had Rhuematoid Hep, Cryoglobulemia and other immune system disorders, all caused by Hep
2011 - Found my wonderful Doc who not only treats Hep but conducts cutting edge Clinical Trials.
Biopsy Jan 2011 - Stage 2 Grade 2

Turned down for Trial of Triple Tx in Jan or Feb of 2011 because of all the immune system probs (interferon contra-indicated)
May 2011, Offered on of the early Abbott Trials, no Interferon 12 wk tx. Jumped on it!!
Undie by or before 2nd wk. of Tx. Completed in August 2011
SVR as of Jan. 2012 !!!
Still have Immune Sys. Problems but am so happy to be virus free!!!

Ribo/peg tx 2009/10 slow responder but became undetectable by around wk 12. Stopped tx (against Dr advise) after 6 mos. Virus came back at 11,000,000.
Started 3 tx w/incevik Feb 17, this year. As I understand it, if I'm not below 1000 they will stop trmnt. Will have that bloodwrk done 3/14/12. I'm praying that this will all be worth it. Actually, my symptons don't seem as bad as many I've read about. Ibprophen helps w/aches. Feel best in the morning, then get tired & achy by afternoon, so I try to rest then. God bless all of you struggling in this battle.
