Viral load 1.5 mil stage II
2nd week tx. I am on trial standard(ribo/peg) plus telepavir. Everything i read is great results with trial med. Rash/emotions/sleep are main issues. Seems to be do able.(spelling?) My God gives me strength i do not have. My mind can be my worst enemy. Faith/Prayer save my Life on a daily basis. Looking too the day that my testimony can serve. Great resource. Hi I'm a female BlueEyed geno type 1a Stage 4 non- responder to tx , been on this site over a year and it has helped me alot , I lean on God he's my best friend for it has been him to pull me threw the most hardest times of my life. It is good to hear from people who have completed treatment and that they are still virus free. I just finished my 48 weeks and hope I am as blessed as you.

This is my first roll call. I am 55, married, 3 kids. Going to be Grandma in about 2 weeks. Can't wait. Have Hep 2, viral load 9mil. Had biopsy 7/2 w/follow up appoint 7/29. So don't know much more. Have been reading and am pretty sure I know what to expect. Far as I can figure, I had a transfusion in 1980, so that must be it. I do have some pain that just started after the biopsy along the biopsy site. Look forward to hearing more from all of you. You are all very upbeat and positve. My motto: God is in control and He is good!! May He bless you all.

Since we have soo many new members here with hep c, I would love for them to add on their own little hep c story.

Hi all and thanks for the stories. I am genotype 3a and just finished week 24 but am continuing on to week 48 to ensure it does not come back. Found out in 2004 when I gave blood but likely had it 20 years - teenage drug use. Viral load was up and down but 499,000 right before treating, UNDETECTABLE at week 12! This is the craziest thing I have ever experienced. Side effects have been doable - psychological and fatigue are my biggest complaints. Noticed there were not too many genotype 3a's in the post so it is less common but I have read it can be as difficult to treat as 1. Big time hair loss but I am dealing with it. Did shot 25 last night and I am pressing on and rejoicing in this as it has only made me stronger.....

Bill from Fla. Geno 1-A. 1.5 million viral load @ start of tx. I was dx 1991. Was to afraid of side effects to do tx. Tried not to think about Hep C for years. My liver enlarged 3 yrs ago and last bioposy stage 2. Did shot #9 last night. I am involved in trial w/telapavir. I take 180mg peg/1200 mg ribo. Blind study so i do not know how i'm doing. Sides have been tuff but i have continued to work. Could be 24 wk or 48 wk tx. I take it one day at a time. I have grade 1 anemia. Hope to be living testimony that anything is possible. Trust God,clean house and help others is my creed. God Bless

Hi every one my name is Don and I have been a member since May, 08. I did a research study with Pharmasset in Gainesville, Florida with a experiment drug which clear my viral load from 7.5 million to zero in four weeks. I'm genotype 1a and still have to do my regular tx to make sure the dragon is died. Shot number 12 is schedule for Monday(Quarter Way).

I;m 43 years old and have three children. Hep.1A Bio grade 2. I may be starting treatment soon. I'm trying to get into the telaprevir phase 3 study. My viral load is 204,000 as of April 08. The study is closed so I won't know anything until it is over.

My name is Carol was at 10 million viral count
stage 2-3. Did 48 wk of peg/riba and interferon. Been off tx since March 08...next wk is my 6th month of major blood work....So far is still undectable. This website was my lifesaver...it inspired me to go on when I had no energy and my anxiety level was thru the roof. Thank you all.

My name is Jenni Bach, geno-1a/ v.l. over 6 million when I started Tx.
I am now 6 months past Tx, waiting for bloodwork,but I was at 0 after 2 months of Tx.
As do many, I had every side possible, and then some.
I needed support and answers to many questions I had, so my Mom(also a member), told me about this site.
I started to journal my ups and downs, and started talking to people that can empathize with me and talk me thru the rough times, when I wanted to quit Tx.
Thru this experience Ive met so many people on D.S., I am (unbelievably, ) grateful, to this disease ,for now having them in my life.
Finding out I was Hep- positive , while I was pregnant with my Son, Jonah(now 4)was really responsible for my sobriety also. I knew to fight the Dragon, and be a Mom, I had to be Sober. Here I am going on 2 years of sobriety,hopefully, now Im virus free!
Its been a rough last two years, but so worth it!
Thank You McKenzie, Tattman, Blue, all my Angels(you know who you all are), My Mom(bbbb) and the so many others on this site!
